What should I do if my student's camera isn't working?
Steps to troubleshoot when a student’s camera isn’t working during a session.
Here are the steps we recommend to help solve our most common camera issues:
- Within the tutoring session, check that the student’s camera is turned on.
- Check that the student has not “blocked” the brower’s camera access to the tutoring platform. (Unblock Camera Access Video Tutorial)
- Check that the device’s camera isn’t being used by another app. Close the app.
- Troubleshoot the wifi network the device is connected to.

If the camera is still not working but the student can be heard by the tutor, a temporary solution is to allow the student to continue participating without their camera.
Camera access is crucial for successful tutoring sessions. If the problem persists, please submit an OYM Feedback/Support Request Ticket. The assigned Partner Success Manager to your campus will receive the ticket & help troubleshoot this issue.
