The chart below outlines the key Intervention skills targeted by OYM tutors during instruction. Each student is assigned two targeted critical skills. OYM tutors will progress monitor students biweekly, provide progress monitoring reports monthly, and will update the targeted critical skills assigned to the student as the student progresses.
Each skill aligns with a specific critical area of early literacy, and the corresponding tutoring goal provides a clear snapshot of what students are working toward during their sessions. This framework ensures instruction is focused, intentional, and rooted in research-based practice.
